To kick of the new year we have redesigned our blog. We hope that you guys like it. We're still doing some tweaks so stay tuned.

So what are we all about? we are flipartimages, a group of fun, outgoing and down to earth individuals who just want to have fun! plain old fun! haha.. Photography is our second job, we are actually nurses who save lives..haha... that's right, a group of male nurses (how sexy right?) hehehe. Growing up on art and drawing while in class, we ended up in nursing which paid for most of our photography equipment (expensive stuff!!) starting as a hobby which soon developed into the wedding industry. Working with some of the best and learning from the best, we strive to be the best in what we do.

After months full of weddings to cover, flipartimages crew decided on a well-deserving trip to the island of Oahu, Hawaii. But even on a vacation, photographers can't just take a break from being photographers. With one of the flipartimages photographers being engaged to be married to a beautiful flipartimages crew, they took the opportunity to take advantage of the beautiful scenery of the island and did their engagement session.

the crew rented convertible mustangs and drove on the coast of Oahu. Driving down the highway following the coast, the whole crew would just pull over on the side of the road and pull out their cameras and shoot away. The engaged couple, being part of the crew, were so easy to work with, and were very laid back and quick to change and pose. It was definitely a fun-filled photo session. Thank you Junn Marq and Honey for letting your fellow flipartimages crew cover your engagement session in the beautiful island of Oahu. The entire session was a blast, Hawaii is definetely a beatiful island.

Recently went on an unplanned trip to California, we sometimes get too wound up on life that we don't step back and realize how great God's creation is. I took some time off from nursing, from photography and from life and ended up on Redlands California. No matter how beat or crushed you are, for just one second step back and look at life and embrace it because no matter how wrong you do or what you have done, God is good and he always has a plan for each one of us.

Big Bear, California, this place is amazing!! The Drive to Big Bear Mountain was an experience of a lifetime. Tokyo Drift in California... That's what i'm talking about. The course, Big Bear Mountain, the ride, my friend Joey's Civic Si..Being a car enthusiast and the need for speed this drive was the best drive I have ever taken in my life! Talk about picking up speed shifting to fifth after a 200ft run then a turn comes around and bammm!!! down shift to 3rd and take that corner, swing the rear end to just grace the railings, turn the wheel the opposite way to get the car back on the run and pick up speed for that next curve in another 200ft. Really? not really but you get the concept..hehehe.. 45 minutes of nerve racking drive on a race track to Big Bear. Everyone ought to experience this drive at least once, you will forget all troubles in your life.

What a grand event!! This was our very first quincenera and it was great!! The event took place at a little city in Texas called the Rio Grande City. Though only less than an hour from our home base we haven't really explored this part of Texas. What a beautiful town! The buildings are from way back when and the atmosphere was just great. We enjoyed going through the old buildings which added a nice feel for photoshoot. The event itself was GRAND, I mean talk a bout two of the best mariachis and another band to pump up the event. Speakers pumping so loud it was as if we were in a concert. Mr. and Mrs. Bazan really did a great job on this special day for their daughter. To top it off they had the best photographer flipartimages and emotions for videogoraphy cover the entire event. What more can you ask for? hehehe enough about our blabbing and enjoy the photos..we are still processing the rest of the photos right now, check back later for more updates.

The event took place in San Antonio, Texas, home of the Spurs. This place is amazing, The Alamo is where it all went down. Did you guys know that Texas is the only state in the United States to be able to raise its flag as high as the US flag. This is because Texas got its independence by itself and it all went down in the Alamo. The Wedding took place in Hotel Valencia, beautiful place located in the heart of San Antonio, Right bellow the hotel was the River Walk and not too far was the Alamo. What an amazing wedding everything came out perfectly and the people were great and fun to work with. Here are some photos of the event, we hope that you enjoy them.

Merry Christmas to everyone and Happy Holidays! Meet Mark2, We finally got a hold of the all new canon 5DMKII. After days of checking if it was in stock, we landed a jackpot on dec 23 with free next day air. It got here right before Christmas, it's the best christmas gift ever..hahaha

This baby has to be one of the best cams i've held, no offense to my other buddies in flipart who shoot Nikon. Roy and Alan shoot Nikon and i've been trying to make them switch over to the Canon world with me and marq but they like their nikon. Sooner or later they will switch, hehehe.

Anyways back to the 5dmk2. This cam really does it for me, full frame at 21.1 mp stunning image quality and not to mention the 1080p video mode. I didn't really care for the video mode but I must admit it is very interesting and has lots of potential. The 3inch high res screen is just awesome big difference from my 1dmk3 and at iso 3200 the camera handles it just fine. You can shoot iso1600-3200 all day and not be worried. The down side is shooting at 3.9fps and coming from 10fps on the 1dmk3 it's a big difference but I must admit I never did use the 10fps on my line of work it was more of a show thing. 3.9fps for weddings and portraits should be more than enough although hearing an m16 fire away is just awesome. The camera build has far improved from its older version with better weather seal and the right grip is just like my 1dmk3 without the battery pack. Ergonomics is still at its best, the cam fits right into my hands with all the buttons within perfect reach. All in all a great camera and a great addition to our gear and our journey into the photography world. If you're looking for a cam, this is it!

Our very own Flipart photographer getting married next month!! Here are the photos of the R2K e-session.
Roy and Kay are getting married next month in a resort in the Philippines called Pearl Farm located in Davao. Roy and Kay
wanted a vintage look for their engagement shoot, so we went with farmer/fashionista look. Had a friend lend us
his 1955 chevy which was perfect for their theme. We found a place on the side of the road with bales of hay that
went well with the theme as well. The shoot was great, the sunset, everything fell into place and it ended perfectly.

Wedding Fair

August 3 2008 wedding fair was a success! A lot of hard work and sleepless nights and days paid off on our first big wedding fair. We booked a couple of weddings and finally got our name out there. The most unfortunate thing that happened was that we procrastinated. Our canvas prints and albums that we were suppose to bring to the wedding fair did not arrive..(Ahhh! i know worst nightmare)...We ended up going to the local print labs and using older albums. Nonetheless, our clients was still impress. Here are some post wedding fair photos. As you can see, we made use of the two hundred dollar frames we bought the day before the event., ...ouch!....always make use of what you got, right?

This is what we do at 0230AM..Right now we are in preparation for the wedding show this august 3 at the mcallen convention center. The flipart team is working hard getting designs and layouts for albums for the big event. Time flies by when you're working with something you love and want to narrow down to perfection. "The parallel existence of two concepts of perfection one strict and one loose" we are definitely strictly loose in a very extraordinary way.

This august 3, we really want to wow our clients and just show them how extraordinary we are and what we are all about. This august 3 we dare to be different.

Angela and Tyler love the beach and wanted their photo shoot at the beach..There's suppose to be a hurricane coming sometime this week so we scheduled right on time :) really fun couple to work with. This time of year the beach is packed so we had to drive around to find some good spots. The sunset was just great and couldn't get any better unless we shot in boracay:) yeah we miss boracay, but awesome couple awesome spot and awesome photos...whoooooohooo. enjoy!

Veronica is our co-worker at our other job...Veronica and Omar's e-session was a success! We wanted to make the photoshoot fun and exciting. Veronica and Omar are movie fanatics so we decided to take them to a movie theater for their shoot. We've always wanted to do the popcorn shot (shown in one of the pictures below). Yes! I think we hit the jackpot..=)..The dark lit theater was a bit challenging, but i think we did just fine. We have to give much of the credit to Veronica and Omar. The Jessica and Joe wedding day....One word...WOW! What an amazing wedding it was. It was a dream wedding for both of them and for us (flipart)..=). There was so much love in this wedding and you can see it all from the photos. Truly, pictures are worth a thousand words. Everyone was just having a great time. Definitely one of the best weddings we've taken this year. From getting ready, to post reception pics, everything went pretty smooth. Thank you Jessica and Joe.
